Event 178 – Converter IGBT/MOSFET Driver Error

Event Description

An error on the power switch (IGBT/MOSFET) or in the power switch driver electronic was detected.

This event is usually tiggered by a driver interrupt in the hardware.

Event symbol	Consequences of the event
Error event	When an error event occurs, the monitored value has reached its error limit. Error events shutdown the generator
Warning event	When a warning event occurs, the monitored value has reached its warning limit. Warning Events don’t shutdown the generator
Information event	An Information event is for information purpose only and has no effect on the generator operation

Causes and solutions

Common causes	Possible solutions
The connection from converter control PCB to the power electronics driver is not connected, defective, or has a loose contact.	Check the connection from converter control PCB to the power electronics driver for correct connection, defects and for loose contacts.
The connection from power electronics driver to the IGBT or MOSFET is not connected, defective or has a loose contact.	Check the connection from power electronics driver to the IGBT or MOSFET for correct connection, defects and for loose contacts.
A high voltage or high current event on the power side occurred, which is detected by the power electronics driver.	Contact the Fischer Panda Service.
Wrong parameters are set in the power converter control function.	Check the parameters in the power converter control function for correct values.
