Event Description
Event from the ECU of the Diesel Engine: »Amber Warning Lamp«. Less serious errors, for which the generator doesn’t have to be stopped, are indicated in the J1939 Diagnostic Message (DM1) with the »Amber Warning Lamp«.
The »Amber Warning Lamp« is usually activated by the engine control unit to indicate certain fault conditions or warnings. The exact category of triggers may vary depending on the engine manufacturer and the specific implementation of the engine control unit, but typical triggers can include the following:
- Engine faults: The engine control unit can activate the warning lamp to indicate engine faults such as overheating, low oil pressure, high exhaust temperatures, injection problems, or other critical engine issues.
- Exhaust emissions: If the engine control unit detects that the exhaust emissions exceed a certain threshold or if there is a problem with the exhaust system, the warning lamp may be activated.
- Vehicle diagnostics: The engine control unit monitors various systems in the vehicle, including the engine, exhaust system, fuel system, etc. In the event of a detected malfunction or error, the warning lamp may illuminate.
- Operational safety: The engine control unit can activate the warning lamp to indicate conditions that may affect the safe operation of the engine, such as low fuel level, high engine temperature, critical battery voltage, etc.
