Objective of the procedure
You can set the generator type code in service menu of the control panel. This is necessary to adapt the generator control fpControl to different generator types.
Software concept
The menu item “config generator” in service menu takes you to a page where you can set the generator type code. You can use the panel’s arrow keys to set the generator type between its specified minimum and maximum value.

Controls

 | “Increase generator type code” key. A long press on the button activates the rapid increase of the code. |

Requirement
You must enter the service password or have admin rights while the function is being called.
Function call
Select in the menu service > enter service-code > config generator.
For the following steps, follow these rules for setting the generator type code

| With generator control fpControl, the generator types are classified into three groups. The generators are assigned to a generators group according to the type of technology. Each group is assigned a number range. |

Step by Step

| Property damage to the generator and to connected loads due to setting the wrong generator type code. If a wrong generator type code is set for the generator control, the generator and the loads connected to the generator may be damaged. ► Make sure which generator type code has to be set for your generator. |
- Call the “config generator” dialog.
- Set the generator type code.
- Confirm your adjustment.
Result of the procedure
The generator control restarts.
After restarting of the generator control, the set generator type is displayed on the start page (preset):
