Causes and solutions
| Common causes | Possible solutions |
| The ambient temperature is too high | Ensure adequate ventilation. An air-cooled inverter should not be operated at an ambient temperature of more than 40°C. In case of a water-cooled inverter the ambient temperature should not be higher than 60°C |
| The air inlet and outlet openings of the inverter are covered | Remove objects and dirt from the air inlets and outlets |
| The internal fan of the inverter is defective | Check the function of the fan. Note that the fan works only at higher temperatures and higher load. Note type plate. If the fan is defective the inverter must be repaired by Fischer Panda or a service partner. |
| The heat sink and the fan of the inverter are dirty and thereby the heat transfer characteristic has changed | Clean the heat sink |
| The inverter is not mounted correctly: There is not enough distance above and below the inverter | The inverter must be mounted vertically. There must be enough distance above and below the inverter to allow sufficient air supply |
| Temperature sensor error: Short circuit at the temperature sensor inside the inverter, a defective temperature sensor inside the inverter | The inverter must be checked and repaired by Fischer Panda or one of the service partners |
In case of a water cooled Inverter Further points are to be considered:

| The water temperature is too high | Make sure that the water does not exceed the maximum temperature: The water temperature must not be higher than 40° C |
| Air in the cooling system | Bleed the cooling system |
| Not enough cooling water in the cooling system, maybe the cooling system is leaky | Check the cooling system for possible leaks and close if necessary. Also check the cooling water pump and the water-cooled silencer for leaks |
| In case of vehicle generators: The radiator fan is defective, maybe a fan blade is jammed | Check the function of the fan and the condition of its fan blades |
