The »Communication Interface CI – NMEA 2000®« is a gateway for integrating fpCAN-equipped Fischer Panda AC Generators with an NMEA 2000® network. The »Communication Interface CI – NMEA 2000®« converts fpCAN messages to NMEA 2000® messages so you can monitor your Fischer Panda AC Generator with NMEA 2000® displays. The »Communication Interface CI – NMEA 2000®« is certified by NMEA 2000® (https://www.nmea.org).

![]() The PGN fields transmit all data available for the generator. So with some generators not all fields (SPNs) contain valid data, for example, for the oil pressure. |
![]() Different multifunction displays show different subsets of the transmitted data. The »Communication Interface CI – NMEA 2000®« reports itself as an ac generator. Check your multifunction display concerning its supported PGNs. |

Changing the NMEA Device Instance (ISO ECU Instance)
See NMEA 2000 Settings for a detailed description.
Starting the generator via NMEA 2000®
Firmware-Version > V2.11
Giving / Revoking Clearance for controlling the Generator:
- Use the PGN 126208 to access the PGN 127512 (AGS Configuration Status) in command mode.
- Specify the field 3 (»AGS-Mode«) in the request: 1 – on, any other value – off.
Starting / Stopping the Generator:
- Use the PGN 126208 to access the PGN 127514 (AGS Status) in command mode.
- Specify the field 5 (»Generator On Reason«) in the request to 0x08 (»external on via AGS«) to initiate start (0x05 still works to keep backwards-compatibility).
- Specify the field 6 (»Generator On Reason«) in the request to 0x0c (»external off via AGS«) to stop again (0x07 still works to keep backwards-compatibility).
