The MI-Lamp is coded in J1939-DM1 message and signals malfunctions relevant to exhaust gas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL)<\/strong> is typically activated by the engine control unit to indicate the presence of a fault in the engine. The exact triggers for the activation of the MIL may vary depending on the engine manufacturer and the specific implementation of the engine control unit.
