With the \u00bbProtection Lamp\u00ab that is coded in J1939-DM1 message, errors of the Diesel Engine e.g., engine cooling temperature high are signaled. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>\u00bbProtect Lamp\u00ab<\/strong> is typically activated by the engine control unit to indicate certain protective functions or fault conditions. The exact triggers for the activation of the Protect Lamp may vary depending on the engine manufacturer and the specific implementation of the engine control unit. However, here are some possible triggers:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Overheating:<\/strong> The Protect Lamp can be activated when the engine control unit detects excessive engine or transmission temperatures, indicating a potential risk of damage or danger.
