For this purpose, the software update files are transferred to the \u00bbfpControl GC-S\u00ab, which distributes the updates to the other bus modules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"h5-grey-background wp-block-heading\">Objective of the procedure<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You will copy update files from the PC \/ laptop to the \u00bbfpControl Control Panel &#8211; Generator\u00ab (fpControl <a aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/knowledgebase.fischerpanda.de\/?page_id=3482\" target=\"_blank\">CP-G<\/a>). You will then connect the \u00bbfpControl CP-G\u00ab to the fpCAN in order to transfer one or more update files to the \u00bbfpControl GC-S\u00ab. Therefore, you can use the generator&#8217;s \u00bbfpControl CP-G\u00ab to carry out a software update. In order to reach the USB socket of the \u00bbfpControl CP-G\u00ab, it may be necessary to remove the \u00bbfpControl CP-G\u00ab. Alternatively, depending on the availability, you can also use the fpCAN interface.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>on the \u00bbfpControl CP-G\u00ab of the generator or<\/li><li>on a measuring module \u00bbfpControl MU-3ph \/ DC\u00ab or \u00bbfpControl MM-3\u00ab.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"h5-grey-background wp-block-heading\">Step by step guide<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul For each bus module the \u00bbfpControl CP-G\u00ab shows by a pop-up window that a new firmware is available if there is an update file on the \u00bbfpControl GC-S\u00ab available for this module type.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"h5-grey-background wp-block-heading\">Requirement<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The update files must have been transferred to the \u00bbfpControl GC-S\u00ab.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"h5-grey-background wp-block-heading\">Step by step guide<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Switch on \u00bbfpControl CP-G\u00ab.<\/li><li><strong>Intermediate result:<\/strong> The \u00bbfpControl CP-G\u00ab shows the first available update. The restart will take place in 10 seconds, the time until the restart is counted down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After restarting the bus module, a start program (<a aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/knowledgebase.fischerpanda.de\/?page_id=3482\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">bootloader<\/a>) is executed that writes the update file transferred to the bus module into its program memory. The updated bus module has restarted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The \u00bbarrow down\u00ab button acknowledges the info page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"h5-grey-background wp-block-heading\">Result<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The update was successfully completed.<\/li><li>The updated bus module has restarted.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"h5-grey-background wp-block-heading\">Deviation when updating the generator control \u00bbfpControl GC-S\u00ab itself<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If an update file for the generator control \u00bbfpControl GC-S\u00ab itself has been transferred to the GC-S, the update process cannot be monitored as described above. In this case the panel will go dark after confirming the update (\u00bbarrow down\u00ab button, ok). The \u00bbfpControl GC-S\u00ab is updated and then turned off. After this you have to switch the control on again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"h5-grey-background wp-block-heading\">Checking the software version after the update<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you have updated a generator control \u00bbfpControl GC-S\u00ab or a control panel \u00bbfpControl CP-G\u00ab, you will see the new software version on the info page after the restart.
